With the digital technology, taking pictures has never been easier. I see many pictures, but a lack of photographs. Learning photography is more than just using a camera to point and shoot and later run through store bought photoshop actions to substitutive for creativity. It takes technical knowledge to know what setting and lighting numbers to punch in and more importantly why and when to use them. Then after an image is taken, post production starts that process all over again, which I had talked about in an earlier post
So my question to an aspiring photographer would be, do you want to take pictures or photographs?
Of course, it can take more than a photographer to create wonderful images. For example, the team of very talented people whom I collaborated with to make this shoot a success. My heartfelt gratitude goes to the following people:
- The intelligent model, Kristine, who is not only beautiful but brings her missile programming (yes she really does) smarts to every shoot.
- Awesome Make-up Artist, Christine Hula. She matched my vision of the look I had perceived for the shoot exactly and at every step.
- The fantastic Hair Stylist, Megan Jackson, who did wonders and made some fantastic suggestions that I hadn’t even imagined.
I believe a cultivating environment is where beautiful images like the ones below can be created. So enjoy!
Thank you all for helping me accomplish some absolutely beautiful boudoir images as well as allowing me to grow and learn with you along the way.
